29. St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site
St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site in downtown St. George is an enjoyable jaunt for dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages.
This fossil site and museum are home to thousands of dinosaur artifacts including preserved footprints.
Established in 2000, St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site was founded by a doctor who reportedly hit the “paleontological jackpot” (i.e. found dinosaur footprints).
Opening the site to share with the public, the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site was born.

30. Silver Reef Ghost Town
A former mining town in Utah, the Silver Reef Ghost Town is a historic site that’s rather enjoyable to explore.
In fact, of the many ghost towns, this one is the most popular.
Of note, the town was first settled in 1886 with the discovery of a valuable silver vein running through indigenous geology.
With the hopes of striking paydirt, miners quickly settled Silver Reef Ghost Town.
However, with the decline in the value of silver in 1884, shortly after settlement, miners began to leave town.
The official abandonment of Silver Reef Ghost Town occurred in 1891.

33. Brigham Young Winter House
This historic residence was the winter home of Mormon trailblazer Brigham Young.

Another noteworthy Mormon pioneer, Jacob Hamblin, resided in this home from 1863 to 1870.
Lauded for his significant contributions to the settlement of the Mormon community in Utah, Jacob Hamblin Home is another site valued by Utahns.
As a missionary to local Native Americans, the home is noted as a significant structure in Native American history as well.
Today, visitors can tour the home on self-guided tours; best of all, the property is open seven days a week, so any day is a good time to plan your visit.
Notably, the property has been restored to its original furnishings and decor; as such, it’s as close as you can get to walking the same floorboards as this famed Mormon pioneer.
